Archie is 12 pounds of pure love. He loves everyone from babies to adults, cats to dogs. He's gentle but so happy, he makes those around him laugh. He doesn't just wag his tail, he wags his whole body.
Archie did not start life in a good place. But in spite of his fear (which has greatly diminished), he really loves people. He especially loves children. He kisses cats until they swat him away.
He was adopted by a family with three kids (one under a year) and another dog. It was tragic when the other dog, a 5-pound-Chihuahua, decided that she hated Archie. She had never played with toys, but if Archie played with a toy she snapped at him. If Archie went near "her" child, she growled at him. If Archie went to lie down on the soft blanket on the couch, she attacked. Because of the small children, they decided they couldn't keep Archie. (One of the kids suggested keeping Archie and not their dog!) He adored the baby and just wanted to lie near him.
So he's back in foster where he plays with the other dogs (he loves other dogs and needs to be in a home with another dog to help him feel safe and to know the rules). He would do great in a home with another dog and a fenced yard. He would also love kids to play with, but that's just on his wish list, not a requirement.
