Foster with For Good

Fostering is Hard—But It’s Also Incredibly Rewarding

At For Good Rescue, we believe deeply in thoughtful matchmaking—carefully selecting each dog and pairing them with the right foster home. This helps everyone involved grow, heal, and make a positive change together.

“Here’s how it works:”

  • Finding animals in need:

Our team is constantly working to identify dogs at risk—whether in shelters, rural areas, or emergency situations.

  • Matching with foster homes:

Once we identify a dog who needs us, we review our list of pre-approved foster homes to find the best possible match. For Good believes deeply in thoughtful, intentional placements—every foster home offers something unique. Whether you have a soft spot for seniors, love the energy of puppies, or prefer the steadiness of adult dogs, we want the fit to be right. We know that when the right dog meets the right foster, incredible things happen!

  • Making the commitment:

When a foster says “yes,” we officially welcome the dog into the For Good Rescue family. Fostering with For Good requires a minimum 2-week commitment—often longer—so we work closely with each foster to ensure they feel fully prepared. Our coordinators share any information we have about the dog in advance to make sure the match is the right fit for everyone.

  • Getting them ready for home:

Each animal receives necessary veterinary care, and we make sure the foster home has all the supplies they need to start this journey with confidence.

Because of our amazing fosters, dogs who once had no hope get a second chance—and a whole new chapter begins.
